About the role

The Department of Neurology within the Tulane Center for Clinical Neuroscience at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a board eligible/certified vascular neurologist to serve to work within the Tulane Stroke Program. The Stroke Program within the Tulane Center for Clinical Neurosciences is a Joint-Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic (with a focus on primary and secondary prevention of stroke)
• Inpatient hospital service (with a focus on acute stroke care)
• Telemedicine call
• Teach medical students and residents
• Mentor the fellow enrolled in our ACGME-accredited vascular neurology fellowship program
• Expand the stroke research program in collaboration with other faculty members in the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Tulane Center for Clinical Neuroscience Research, and Tulane Center for Clinical Neurosciences, within the Tulane School of Medicine; and the intercollegiate Tulane Brain Institute

Qualifications

• Strong interest in participation in clinical trials and research
• Experience in serving as the PI or co-I of externally funded studies
• Bibliography of peer-reviewed publications
