About the role
At Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY), our mission is Preserving Families & Securing Futures. We are seeking a Clinical Therapist to join our Intensive Home-Based Therapy (IHBT) Program serving the Allen & Auglaize County regions. This role involves providing a range of moderately complex clinical services, 100% community-based, including home, school, or community visits. You will carry a caseload of 6 families, delivering 2 visits per week with an average visit time of 3 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide moderately complex clinical in-home/community-based services for children, adolescents, and adults, including diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and individual, family, and group therapy.
- Participate in the development of treatment/service plans and provide identified behavioral services tailored to client needs.
- Provide short-term crisis intervention as needed and follow intensive, evidence-based service models such as Family Wellness and trauma-informed approaches.
- Develop and maintain consultation relationships with caregivers (e.g., schools, human services agencies) to coordinate mental health services.
- Establish rapport, implement interventions, set limits, and maintain a helping role as a mental health practitioner.
- Complete required assessments (e.g., psychosocial assessments, Diagnostic Assessment Forms) and prepare clinical documentation per established time frames.
- Accurately document and maintain outcomes of home visits, support sessions, and interactions with parties involved in client care.
- Prepare and submit timely reports, progress notes, billing tickets, and outcome measures using pre and post assessment tools.
- Maintain contact with referral agency personnel and review client files as part of the quality improvement process.
- Inform clients of company policies, procedures, rights, and responsibilities, and enforce policies by writing corrective action plans or incident reports.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with SAFY staff, youth, families, and stakeholders.
- Attend relevant meetings, trainings, and workshops to enhance professional and job-related skills.
- Participate in assigned committees, provide on-call response for assigned families, and conduct new staff orientation training as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related human services field required.
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related human services field preferred.
- LSW or LPC required; LISW or LPCC preferred.
- Two years of experience in mental health/therapeutic intervention with children, adolescents, and families.
- Experience with family preservation services and/or best practice models of clinical application preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements.

Pay
Targeted hiring range: $53,000 to $68,000. Compensation is commensurate with transferable experience, education and licensure, location, internal equity, and budgeted amount for the role. $5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus.
