About the role

The Clinical Testing Senior Lab Technician (hair color) position will be primarily focused on formulation, product testing, and in-vitro hair testing in our hair color lab. All work must be executed in a scientifically sound, safe, and timely manner. You will execute work with excellence with minimal daily supervision, clarify priorities, and proactively update your supervisor on status while flagging any issues or help required.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and record data on repetitive and routine experiments with excellence.
  • Perform calibration, use, and maintenance of standard lab and pilot plant equipment.
  • Assist in making routine batches following defined protocols and using routine equipment.
  • Conduct routine analysis on stability batches.
  • Perform physical tests on batch samples against defined specifications.
  • Develop knowledge of company culture, resources, and processes.
  • Build competence in standard lab and pilot plant procedures and policies.
  • Follow Good Laboratory Practices and other applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab area.
  • Adhere to safe lab practices.
  • Perform some repetitive tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science and/or Technology Degree required.
  • 2+ years of laboratory experience in test methods, research & development, and/or quality assurance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with technical writing in a scientific field.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours per day).
  • Experience in operation of scientific instruments and applicable software.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks.

Pay

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $25.65 to $27.00. Exact hourly rate depends on factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. The range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to the hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, education-related programs, and other budget considerations. The role is also eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
