Clinical Technician 1 - Acute Pulmonary Unit

About the role

Inova Fairfax Hospital – Acute Pulmonary Unit is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 to join the team. This schedule for this role will be Full-Time with rotations on Days & Nights (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM & 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), rotating days, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Training

Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:

• Virtual orientations (two sessions, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Classroom-style sessions: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (6 shifts total)
• Virtual training modules
• On-unit shifts

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35 lbs.
