About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership for a Clinical Team Leader to join our Health Visiting Service. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
Schedule
36.00 hours per week - Monday to Friday (compressed hours can be considered). From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
- Right to work in the UK; NHS Ayrshire & Arran may sponsor eligible roles if the post meets the minimum salary threshold.
Responsibilities
Working within the management team, you will play a key role in the improvement and strategic development of Health Visiting and School Nursing Services. You will:
- Provide effective leadership and support to staff, demonstrating our values of Caring, Safe, and Respectful.
- Lead teams through service improvement with a passion for achieving the best outcomes for children, young people, and families.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in nursing/midwifery, educated to degree level.
- Postgraduate qualification in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing: Health Visiting/School Nursing.
Skills
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of key NHS Scotland strategies, structures, policies, and strategic direction.
- Good understanding of the developing health and care agenda, particularly in relation to children’s services.
- Knowledge of clinical, corporate, and staff governance issues, policies, procedures, and systems.
