About the Role

This position involves leading and managing patient care within an assigned unit, ensuring compliance with nursing standards and supporting hospital goals. The nurse collaborates with the Director to oversee clinical, administrative, and operational duties, including staffing, resource management, and maintaining a safe and effective environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate patient care activities, ensuring adherence to policies and evidence-based practices.
• Support a Culture of Safety through policy compliance and timely safety event reporting.
• Mentor, coach, and evaluate staff performance, participating in performance appraisals.
• Assist in managing material, financial, and human resources within the unit.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and equitable scheduling to meet patient needs.
• Provide clinical consultation, technical support, and educational services to staff and patients.
• Participate in research activities, quality improvement, and professional practice initiatives.
• In the absence of the Director, assume unit, clinical, and administrative responsibilities with approval.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Current RN license and Basic Life Support certification.
