Clinical Surgery Coordinator RN

Job Summary and Responsibilities

You will utilize your knowledge from biological, physical, and social sciences to assist the Manager in ensuring the effective delivery of nursing care. Every day you will apply this specialized knowledge to support the coordination of surgical services, optimize patient flow, and ensure adherence to best practices in the surgical environment. You will contribute to maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality.

• Apply specialized knowledge to support the coordination of surgical services.
• Optimize patient flow.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in the surgical environment.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality.
• Utilize strong clinical judgment, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to facilitate seamless surgical operations and support the nursing team efficiently.
• Provide skilled assistance to the Surgeon.
• Discuss procedures with Surgeons to be certain the appropriate equipment is made available.
• Aid in the individual operating room setup.
• Aid in positioning, prepping, and draping the patient.
• Establish work schedules and assignments for the Orthopedic Surgical Assistants.

Job Requirements

• Registered Nurse: TN, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire.
• PREFERRED: Orthopedic Physician Assistant or Registered Nurse First Assistant with orthopedic experience.
