About the Role
The Clinical Support Team Assistant supervises, manages, and coordinates all day-to-day operations of support personnel to ensure the delivery of comprehensive mental health and substance use/addiction services. This role embodies a warm, welcoming, and empathic attitude, promoting a philosophy of dual recovery. The assistant provides trauma-informed care to individuals impacted by behavioral health issues, ensuring services are delivered in a sensitive and responsive environment to prevent re-traumatization. The Clinical Support Team Lead Assistant reports directly to the Team Lead Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates medical records compilation, review, scheduling, and reception for assigned offices.
- Oversees supervision and staffing of support personnel, including work allocation, training, and problem resolution.
- Provides input to the Clinical Support Team Leader for performance evaluations (probationary and/or annual) and recommends personnel actions to motivate employees.
- Under the direction of the Clinical Support Team Leader, interviews candidates, submits hiring recommendations, and coordinates training and development for all support staff in assigned office(s).
- Processes time sheets and approves time-off requests for all support staff in assigned office(s).
- Ensures charts are available for appointments and audits in a timely manner, collaborating with the Quality Assurance Team.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- TB test required upon hire.
- Ability to occasionally deal with irate individuals.
- Capability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours if needed.
- Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Normal range of hearing and manual dexterity to operate office equipment (keyboard, telephone, photocopier, etc.).
- Sufficient sensory-motor dexterity to complete tasks requiring vision, hearing, and speech.
- Requires prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, and stooping.
