Clinical Support Staff (LPN/MA)

About the role

The Clinical Support Staff (LPN/MA) provides nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of the provider and accepts delegation from the provider/assigned supervisor in meeting the needs of the patient/family. They collect data through observation and communicate information to assist the provider in patient assessment and care planning. They collaborate daily with providers and front desk receptionists for patient care at the office.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient health history
• Performs medication reviews
• Takes vitals
• Administers injections
• Drawing blood/other specimens for labs
• Immunization administration
• Collects pertinent patient information ahead of a provider visit
• Facilitates prior authorization and prescription needs of the patient
• Delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan and policies-procedures of the organization
• Participates in organization’s quality improvement projects
