About the Role

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, provides program management and oversight for the clinic, ensuring all federal and state regulations and Root Center for Advanced Recovery policies and procedures are adhered to. Responsibilities include ensuring proper care is provided in accordance with program standards, developing and providing ongoing clinical and administrative development for staff, and program planning. Serves as a guide for case conferencing and creates and reviews treatment plans as needed. Additionally, performs a full range of counseling and clinical duties for a select caseload of clients.

Responsibilities

  • Counseling Clients: Maintains a select caseload of clients; facilitates counseling services to assist clients in reaching treatment goals; provides ongoing education and support.
  • Supervision: Provides clinical supervision to all staff and interns; coordinates activities, client caseload, and work assignments.
  • Communication: Schedules individual supervisory conferences for staff and holds regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  • Trainings: Provides ongoing training programs and in-services related to agency policies and annual competency criteria.
  • Development: Assesses professional capabilities of licensed and unlicensed staff; provides performance evaluations in compliance with agency standards; encourages staff to further their education using the agency’s professional growth benefit.
  • Case Conferences: Provides guidance and direction to assist staff with questions or concerns related to client treatment plans, case management, or other clinical/counseling areas.
  • Quality Improvement: Works in collaboration with the QI Coordinator, Chief HR Officer, and Director of Operations to maintain compliance with quality assurance processes as required by CARF; assists with CARF clinic audits.
  • Administrative: Provides staff information for HR/payroll management; conducts probationary and annual staff evaluations; leads new hire orientation training; implements corrective action and performance improvement plans when necessary; participates in recruitment and selection of clinic personnel.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Completes clinical and statistical reports routinely, including staff/client ratios, client treatment plans, discharge and/or transfer summaries, and other recordkeeping paperwork as required by agency policies.
  • Special Responsibilities: Monitors overall clinic compliance with CARF and other regulatory standards; ensures compliance with HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in a related field with appropriate licensure in the state of CT as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist.
  • Minimum of four years of full-time experience in a behavioral health setting, with at least one year in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Effective 10/1/21, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) will no longer be considered.

Pay

Starting salary: $86,000 - $105,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, work experience, and certifications. A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is available.
