Essential Functions
- Facilitate behavior programs for individuals with severe challenging behaviors using ABA principles.
- Conduct assessments and experimental functional analyses.
- Provide parent education, develop and deliver specific intervention activities, and act as a liaison between the organization, families, and community agencies.
- Support both center-based and home-based services and operations.
- Conduct evaluations, case-management reviews, quality assurance reviews, and audits.
- Maintain productivity requirements set forth in the annual budget.
- Lead and/or attend staff meetings.
- Prepare and provide specialized training and materials.
- Lead and develop protocols for experimental functional analysis and other assessments.
- Ensure associate responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities are clearly defined and understood.
- Manage and evaluate the performance and productivity of associates in assigned region.
- Train and onboard new associates; provide ongoing training to assigned SBS Program Managers and SBS Behavior Technicians; and specialize training to associates preparing for various certifications.
- Work with Director of SBS and Human Resources in the recruitment/selection process of new associates for the program in assigned region.
- Attend conferences and trainings to stay updated on new research, trends, and developments in autism, special education, and related fields.
- Support Behavior Technicians and Program Managers at least (2) 4-hour shifts per week, in clinic.
- Supervise SBS Associates who are accruing BCBA practicum hours.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in ABA or related field.
- Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, held for at least 2 years.
- Current CPR certification.
- Crisis Management Training (Intermediate and Advanced).
- Expert knowledge of scientifically-validated methodologies and behavioral analytic approaches for individuals with ASD.
- Familiarity with current related research findings.
- Strong competence in leading and completing Behavioral Assessments, including descriptive assessment and experimental functional analysis.
- Proficiency in providing training and implementing function-based intervention plans, including Functional Communication Training (FCT).
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Customer service orientation and professionalism.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Discretion, good judgment, and confidentiality.
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
- Pass drug screening required by ESSC.
- Physical requirements: occasional carrying/lifting up to 70 lbs., occasional standing for up to 3 hours, constant sitting for up to 8 hours, occasional walking for up to 3 hours, repetitive motion, keyboard activity, telephone use, writing, bending, reaching, stooping, squatting, kneeling, grasping, and twisting visual acuity, ability to view computer monitor and read newsprint, regular exposure to unpleasant or hazardous working conditions, regular environmental exposure, and ability to travel up to 50% of time.
