Responsibilities

  • Supports administrative responsibility for department service functions and collaborates with the unit Director and/or Manager.
  • May assume administrative scope of the unit in the absence of the Director and/or Manager.
  • Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with federal/state regulations.
  • Prepares, conducts, and oversees department orientation and training of personnel.
  • Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration both verbally and in writing.
  • Ensures quality of staff and functions during assigned shift.
  • Assists the Department Director in daily unit operations, including directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel, and ensuring proper use of time, equipment, and staff.
  • Ensures efficient department functions.
  • Performs direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
  • Continually assesses care and directs staff to make immediate changes to the plan of care.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintained thereafter.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter (required for ER, ICU, and Telemetry).
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred.
  • PALS within 30 days of hire for units admitting pediatric patients.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $43.26 to $71.10 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

Schedule

Full Time, Night Shift.
