About the role

The Clinical Supervisor - Occupational Therapy provides leadership and oversight for clinicians delivering patient care in the home setting. This hybrid position splits time between the Burlingame office and field visits, with an average of 15+ patient supervisory or shadow visits per week. The supervisor serves as the first point of contact for field clinicians, ensuring timely support, coordinating care, and maintaining high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinicians who provide care and treatment to patients in their place of residence, including performance evaluations and hiring.
• Handle incoming calls promptly and follow up to meet internal and external customer needs.
• Coordinate training and educational programs for field nurses to improve clinical outcomes and competencies.
• Assess staff learning needs and develop specific plans and goals for the next evaluation period.
• Perform administrative call duties and serve as a role model and resource for staff.
• Act as the first point of contact for field clinicians to assist with patient care escalations.
• Coordinate at least bi‑weekly case conferences with the clinical team to review patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Review and evaluate each case by examining services provided, conference notes, and records; discuss and verify impressions; instruct and guide clinicians to enhance performance and quality of home care.
• Review patient clinical diagnosis, medications, procedures, and clinical course.
• Assist clinicians in establishing immediate and long‑term therapeutic goals, setting priorities, and developing plans of care.
• Ensure all opportunities require field work, visiting patients in their homes.

Requirements

• Current California Occupational Therapist license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• All licenses and certifications must be current at hire and maintained throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation therapy department or program.
• Home health experience highly preferred.
• Possess a baccalaureate or master’s degree in an applicable discipline from an accredited organization.

Pay

Wage range: $143,000.00 – $163,000.00 per year, plus a generous quarterly bonus. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule: 2–3 days per week in the Burlingame office and 2–3 days per week in the field, averaging 15+ patient supervisory or shadow visits each week.
