Clinical Supervisor - Hospital Pharmacy

About the role

The Clinical Supervisor – Hospital Pharmacy Operations and Pharmacy Department Informatics provides leadership/oversight for day-to-day central pharmacy operations. They provide leadership/oversight to Pharmacy Department Informatics/systems and the pharmacy perspective of the EMR. They perform the expected duties and responsibilities of a Clinical Pharmacist as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Pharm.D. in Pharmacy required.
• Iowa Pharmacist licensure, either by examination or reciprocity, is required.
• Leadership/Business/Informatics degree is preferred.
• One or more years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Residency training and/or certification in area(s) related to practice is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors or Pharm.D. in Pharmacy required.
• Licensure: Iowa Pharmacist licensure, either by examination or reciprocity, is required.
• Preferred Degree: Leadership/Business/Informatics degree.
• Experience: One or more years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Training/Certification: Residency training and/or certification in area(s) related to practice is preferred.

Skills

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of pharmacy department informatics and systems.
• Understanding of the EMR system.
• Ability to perform clinical pharmacist duties as necessary.
