About the role

The Clinical Supervisor, CMA oversees and supports the clinical operations of Axia Women's Health. This includes supervising clinical staff, ensuring quality patient care, coordinating scheduling, maintaining compliance, and assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and acknowledge patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure they are comfortable.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, complete comprehensive clinical intake.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Perform and document accurate blood pressure, height and weight, and patient temperature.
  • Demonstrate appropriate chaperone technique and documentation.
  • Assist with patient examinations and office-based procedures.
  • Administer medications and injections as ordered by providers.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
  • Perform CLIA waived tests per Axia and Care Center Protocols.
  • Enter and send medication and test orders per provider instructions using Computerized physician order entry (CPOE).
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
  • Provide information regarding procedures, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Respond to patient inquiries both in person and over the phone.
  • Absorb scheduling appointments and follow-up visits.
  • Understand and answer Nonstress Test (NST).
  • Assist with office-based surgical procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety within the clinical setting.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, providers, nurses, and other staff to ensure efficient practice operations.
  • Safely and efficiently assist patients with mobility, including transferring them between examination rooms and treatment areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) and policies (including HIPAA & OSHA).
  • Regularly monitor and implement quality control measures to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to practice policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Lead by example in embodying the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff in ethical practices and professional behavior.
  • Take a proactive role in fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and excellence, ensuring all colleagues are aligned with and committed to the organization's long-term vision and objectives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current national credentials as a Medical Assistant, such as CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA required.
  • CPR Certification required if performing Office Based Surgeries.
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a CMA preferred.
  • 1-2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Fertility, OB/GYN or Women’s Health experience preferred.
  • eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Experience with office-based surgical procedures preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, particularly eClinicalWorks.
