Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) -- Assessor

About the role

Under direct supervision, provides quality clinical supervision and work direction to direct reports, delivering discipline-specific treatment for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Oversees all components of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs for assigned caseload, ensuring high quality and adherence to best-practice guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate behavior programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), conduct behavior assessments, and function as an Assessor when needed.
• Provide parent education, develop and deliver specific intervention activities, and serve as a liaison between the organization, families, community, therapists, and healthcare providers.
• Conduct evaluations, case-management reviews, quality assurance reviews, and audits as assigned by the Regional Clinical Director.
• Meet productivity requirements set forth in the annual budget.
• Lead and/or attend staff meetings.
• Prepare and provide specialized training and instructional materials, including staff development training, as assigned by the Regional Clinical Director.
• Ensure associate responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities are clearly defined and understood.
• Manage and evaluate the performance and productivity of associates in the assigned region.
• Provide training and onboarding for new associates, ongoing training to assigned Program Managers and Behavior Interventionists, and specialized training for associates preparing for various certifications.
• Work with the Regional Clinical Director and Human Resources in the recruitment and selection process of new program associates, and oversee associates involved in recruitment as needed.
• Attend conferences and trainings to remain current regarding new research, trends, and developments in autism, special education, and related fields.
• Function as a liaison between the organization, families, and other community agencies, including regional centers, school programs, therapists, and healthcare providers, assisting with questions and concerns as they arise.
• Travel as required and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in ABA or a related field.
• Must possess and maintain a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
• Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.
• 2-3 years of professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting.
• Expert knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and behavioral analytic approaches that benefit children with ASD, and familiarity with current related research findings.
• Expertise in approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Competency in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies, including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Behavior Skills Training (BST), and Experimental Functional Analysis (EFA).
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to maintain a customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups.
• Must relate well to children and their families and maintain a positive affect.
• Ability to exercise discretion, demonstrate good judgment, and maintain confidentiality for sensitive situations and documentation.
• Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test.
• Ability to provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer showing immunity. A signed declination may be acceptable for certain vaccinations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements.

Starting annual salary: $87,000
