Position Overview
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for outpatient mental health and social service support for the Survivor Empowerment Services (SES) Sexual Assault Crisis Services/Domestic Violence/Human Trafficking Team. The Clinical Supervisor provides supervision for SES therapists pursuing licensure (as appropriate), case managers, interns and/or students.
Programmatic Services
- Individual and group therapy
- Support groups
- Crisis intervention
- Responding to SART (Sexual Assault Response Teams)
Supervision and Training
- Strengthens and expands the clinical program design, planning and implementation
- Oversees team consultations to review and discuss client treatment plan creation and follow up for assigned cases
- May provide direct support with more complex cases
- Ensures completion of biopsychosocial assessments, creating trauma informed treatment plans, developing treatment goals, infusing and training on the trauma informed approach and administering discharge planning
- Coordinates individual and group supervision for clinical therapists and interns who are pursuing licensure
- Acts as the lead staff in coordinating individual and group supervision for clinical therapists and interns who are pursuing licensure
Outreach and Training
- Develops and implements annual outreach plan to appropriate graduate programs to recruit the needed number of clinical interns
- Plans SA/DV training program with clinical manager for clinical interns and assists in training and supervising therapists, staff, interns, and volunteers
Support Services
- Provides support services to clients as appropriate, to include, but not limited to information and referral, crisis intervention and advocacy
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or counseling related field, with valid CA license (LCSW, LMFT)
- Five years or more of clinical practice experience, with experience in a supervisory or managerial position
- California Certification for Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor Training and/or Domestic Violence Training desirable
- Current certification required or must be obtained as a condition of continued employment
- Ability to work with individuals who have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking
- Demonstrated ability to work with people of various ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientation and gender identities
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Pay and Schedule
- This position is for 20-40 hours a week
- Hybrid, exempt position
- Location varies. Sites available in Long Beach, Compton, South LA
- Salary ranges from $31-$41/hr
