About The Role Our client, an established behavioral health organization serving individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health needs, is seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor to join its growing clinical team in Bakersfield. This is a hands-on clinical leadership position supporting an outpatient Substance Use Disorder and co-occurring/dual-diagnosis treatment program. The Clinical Supervisor will provide leadership and guidance to counselors, therapists, and other clinical staff while helping ensure high-quality client care, appropriate documentation, regulatory compliance, staff development, and effective day-to-day clinical operations. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and support to counselors, therapists, and clinical staffConduct individual and/or group clinical supervisionProvide case consultation and guidance on complex client situationsReview clinical documentation, treatment plans, and charts for quality and complianceHelp ensure documentation supports medical necessity and applicable regulatory requirementsSupport quality assurance, audits, licensing reviews, and continuous improvement initiativesCoach, train, and develop clinical team membersAssist with onboarding and orientation of new clinical staffPartner with program leadership regarding clinical performance and staff developmentProvide clinical consultation regarding crisis situations and elevated-risk clientsSupport appropriate referrals and transitions to higher levels of care when necessaryCoordinate with medical providers, psychiatric providers, MAT services, hospitals, residential programs, probation/parole, and community resources as appropriatePromote compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, professional standards, and organizational policies Qualifications Current California LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC license required, OR doctorate in a Behavioral Science with eligibility for a DHCS licensing waiverExperience providing clinical supervisionExperience working with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disordersBackground in outpatient behavioral health, SUD treatment, community mental health, or integrated careStrong understanding of clinical documentation, medical necessity, treatment planning, and ASAM-based level-of-care assessmentKnowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2Strong clinical assessment, crisis-management, and case conceptualization skillsEHR experience preferredExperience with clinical policies, workflows, and quality improvement highly desirable  Ideal candidate: A licensed clinician who has progressed into clinical leadership/supervision and has meaningful experience working with SUD and/or co-occurring behavioral health populations.
