Clinical Supervisor

About the Role

This position is located at Marion Correctional Institution. Working in correctional healthcare offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on a marginalized population, exposure to diverse patient demographics, a focus on driving change and improving care, and the development of skills in a unique healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Counselors and other clinical support staff delivering assessment, substance use disorder education and treatment, and case management to clients.
• Oversee client programs: evaluate counselors’ work performance, audit client records to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, and achieve service delivery objectives.
• Serve as a professional resource to other counselors in resolving complex case problems and provide clinical supervision and guidance.
• Interpret and enforce organizational and facility policies and procedures; contribute to the development of treatment protocols and processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any of the social sciences OR Master's degree in psychology, social work, mental health or substance abuse counseling, or a closely related field, or equivalent education and life experience.
• Minimum of 100 hours documented clinical training in counseling theory and practice.
• Three (3) years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of clinical supervision following licensure or certification attainment.
• Current Certified Addictions Professional (CAP), Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJAP), Certified Associate Addictions Professional (CAAP), Certified Criminal Justice Associate Addictions Professional (CCJAAP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and move about the facilities for up to two hours at a time to monitor and interact with clients.
• Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
• Ability to record, proofread, and check documents and files for accuracy; prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribe and read.
• Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data.
• Ability to respond to telephones and hear and detect alarms and unusual noises.

Pay

Compensation range is between $73,486 - $82,304 annually. Starting rates are determined based on years of experience, qualifications, and relevant skills. Annual performance reviews determine merit increase eligibility based on employee performance and organizational financial performance.
