About the role
Forestdale is a NYC child welfare agency dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect through parenting, prevention, foster care, and behavioral health services. We proudly serve low-income and immigrant communities throughout Queens and Brooklyn, helping children and families build safe, healthy, and independent lives.
The Clinical Supervisor provides both clinical and administrative supervision to the Licensed Behavioral Health Practitioner (LBHP) team within our Behavioral Health Program/Article 29-I. This position supports staff in delivering high-quality behavioral health services to children involved in the child welfare system while ensuring compliance with OCFS, OMH, DOH, and other applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Licensed Behavioral Health Practitioners.
- Support clinicians in behavioral health assessments, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
- Serve as a liaison between medical staff, Health Homes, Article 29-I administration, and case planning teams.
- Review and co-sign clinical documentation, including:
- Progress Notes
- Mental Health Intakes and Reassessments
- Evaluations
- Comprehensive Treatment Plans
- OLP Treatment Plans
- Court Reports
- Assign and monitor staff caseloads.
- Complete supervisory and case-related documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development.
- Attend weekly case conferences.
- Provide psychotherapeutic support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Current New York State LCSW license required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience providing direct services to children, youth, and families.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed interventions.
- Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must successfully complete all required clearances, including:
- NYS Statewide Central Register (SCR)
- NYS Sex Offender Registry
- NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services Fingerprinting
- NYS Justice Center Staff Exclusion List
- NYS OMIG Medicaid Exclusion List
- Mandated Reporter Training
- Compliance with applicable NYS Education Law regarding licensed professionals
Pay
- Master's + LCSW: $76,000–$83,000 annually
- Master's + LCSW + Bilingual (Spanish): $78,000–$85,000 annually
