Clinical Supervisor
About the role
This position serves as a clinical supervisor with the main responsibility of overseeing the Clinical Support Department of the Hunting Park site. The Clinical Supervisor manages the allocated resources efficiently and cost-effectively. Delivers clinical support services and serves as a resource for the clinical support staff.
Responsibilities
- Maintains regular communication with, and reporting to the Director of Clinical Support Services.
- Attends department heads meetings and other meetings, in the absence of the Director of Clinical Support Services, or as required.
- In partnership with the Director of Clinical Support Services and in coordination with other sites develops an agenda for departmental meetings and all staff training.
- Attends site leadership meetings.
- Provides input in clinical related issues affecting the clinic.
- Serves as a resource for the clinical support staff.
- Manages the clinical support personnel.
- Ensures that the set fiscal priorities are met.
- Handles clinically related patient’s grievances.
- Handles grievances for the employees under their supervision.
- Recommends changes/updates in processes to meet the demands of the organization and the needs of the patients.
- Fosters a climate of collaboration, understanding, and fellowship both within the department, and as it relates to organization in general.
Requirements
An individual is a born-again Christian believer who is a member of a local church and is in good standing within the local church body. Individuals must be able to articulate the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly and must be comfortable discussing the Gospel with interested patients in a gentle, respectful and professional manner. Solid interpersonal skills, including handling of difficult people. Must communicate warmth and be able to put people at ease. Ability to remain calm in a chaotic situation. Ability to take initiative in communication, being clear and direct, in order to effectively communicate with other staff. Excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to handle many details and multiple priorities. Neat and organized with careful attention to details. Must have a Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school. Four or more years of MA experience is preferred. Excellent problem solving skills. Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Good skills in basic math. Good computer skills in Word and Excel. A solid record of handling confidential information, as well as demonstrating trustworthiness and honesty in all transactions. Solid character references. Also, a solid record of timeliness and reliability in a work setting. Demonstrated ability to de-escalate conflict in both patient-facing and staff contexts. Experience managing emotionally sensitive situations with composure and sound judgment is required.
