What You’ll Love About This Role

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of crisis professionals and paraprofessionals
  • Provide real-time clinical consultation in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Play a key role in training, coaching, and developing staff
  • Ensure high-quality, compassionate service through clinical oversight and quality assurance
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and community partners
  • Be a trusted presence during critical moments—for both staff and the community

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

  • Build trust with staff through coaching, consultation, and consistent on-shift presence
  • Ensure smooth phone room operations and strong clinical decision-making during high-acuity moments
  • Strengthen training and quality practices so staff feel confident, capable, and supported
  • Partner with scheduling and leadership to maintain reliable 24/7 coverage and seamless handoffs

Who You Are

  • A confident, compassionate clinical leader who thrives in meaningful, high-impact work
  • Someone who values collaboration, recovery-oriented care, and supporting others through complex and emotionally charged situations
  • Someone with a Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field
  • Someone qualified as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) in Washington State
  • Someone with experience working with individuals in crisis
  • Someone with strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Someone comfortable working in a phone-based or call-center clinical environment
  • Someone who appreciates the importance of 24/7 crisis services

Qualifications

  • An Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential required by the end of the probationary period. Applications must be submitted within 30 days of hire. Crisis Connections will reimburse the cost of obtaining the credential.
