POSITION SUMMARY
Provide supervision for all clinical staff members. Oversee day to day operations of clinical services for students and provide clinical supervision and work to ensure compliance with all licensure requirements for program staff. Oversee Individualized Education Plan compliance for EEP Program. Participate in grant writing endeavors. Serve as a member of the school administrative team.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Administrative:
- Serve as lead administrator in supervision of all clinical staff.
- Assure IEP’s remain in compliance for all EEP students.
- Function as the point of contact for students’ home districts to schedule all necessary IEP meetings; work with EEP teachers to assure the completion of IEP documents.
- Ensure performance reviews are completed annually for staff under direct supervision, including establishing specific, individual professional development goals.
- Serve as student/family liaison between medical professionals, residential and out-patient treatment staff and other off-site clinical service providers.
- Provide information and referral to clients and community resources.
- Oversee crisis intervention plan development, medication management and intervention strategies.
- Provide back-up clinical care to clients when assigned staff is unavailable.
- Oversee Life Skills curriculum development and ensure quality implementation of regular lessons is being conducted.
- Facilitate program services and networking necessary to address food and homeless needs for agency clients and family members.
Clinical:
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of the agency.
- Responsible for monitoring assessments, case notes, and ensuring other documentation is current and in compliance with all state regulations.
- Provide clinical supervision and oversee licensing process for non-licensed clinical staff inclusive of agency interns.
- Assure that the quality of clinical services is maintained through individual and group supervision.
- Review all reports of suspected abuse or neglect and assure that appropriate actions are taken.
- Inform Principal and Assistant Director if reports involve alleged maltreatment by staff, students or others.
- Oversee student interns and ensure compliance with university standards.
Staff Support:
- Assist staff with BDS website to assure IEPs are completed correctly and that attendance is entered daily.
- Assist with intake interviews and admission paperwork.
- Work in tandem with school administrators to develop and conduct staff workshops commensurate with program needs.
- Provide consultation and support to staff as needed including being available for staff to debrief about difficult situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters level clinical social worker or counselor licensed by the State of Illinois.
- Five years clinical experience with at-risk adolescents and families preferred.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- The ability to work and interact with all school personnel and students in a cooperative, collaborative and courteous manner.
- Able to work under stressful situations.
- Able to build effective rapport with student population.
- Must have effective organizational skills, time management, and flexibility to meet staff and students' needs.
- Have a willingness to assume any responsibilities appropriate for the position.
