About the Role
The Clinical Supervisor provides individual and group therapy using evidence-based modalities aligned with company clinical programming and curriculum. This role involves supervising mental health and substance abuse staff, managing daily clinical team operations, handling client crises, overseeing documentation audits, clinical reporting, and staff training.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision to substance abuse and mental health/eating disorder program staff, ensuring they meet KPIs outlined in job descriptions.
- Oversee and maintain MH and ED Program Development, including processes and curriculum updates under the supervision of the Clinical Director.
- Ensure completion of all required incident reporting paperwork by staff.
- Oversee and ensure completion of Clinical Reports such as FAN, LOS, and Billing Reports.
- Conduct audits and review/second-sign documentation for clinical staff.
- Carry a caseload of 5-7 individuals.
- Manage crisis situations across all programs, including AMA risk threads, relapses, and referrals.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to approve admissions to mental health and eating disorder programs.
- Oversee group schedules and provide coverage for staff PTO or call-outs.
- Conduct biweekly family outreach and collateral contact for client families.
- Facilitate 1-2 psycho-educational, process, and experiential groups per week.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director to implement clinical programming and provide monthly staff training.
- Complete special projects and tasks related to program development as assigned.
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Facilitate and document individual and group clinical supervision for licensed therapists.
- Lead weekly clinical meetings and provide therapist coaching/training, including performance reviews and corrective action.
- Oversee clinician schedules, capacity, and retention.
- Provide direct care to clients (2-4 sessions per week).
- Fulfill on-call responsibilities approximately once per month.
- Onboard and train newly hired clinicians.
- Review and sign associate-licensed clinician notes in the EHR within 72 hours of submission.
- Lead the team to complete tasks and goals while upholding the company’s mission and values.
- Enforce quality standards and provide feedback to the team and upper management on potential improvements.
- Resolve conflicts and complaints from employees and clients.
- Analyze information and processes to develop more effective and efficient strategies.
- Generate reports and present information to upper management and other stakeholders.
- Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
- Create a healthy, motivating work environment and foster team communication regarding performance.
- Identify training needs and provide coaching.
- Plan and organize team activities.
- Assist and cover for other staff to maintain departmental productivity and efficiency.
- Take on additional responsibilities as the company grows to ensure departmental success.

Requirements
- Master’s Degree and full licensure in the state of practice.
- Supervisor credential at the time of hire or within 1 year of offer acceptance.
- 1+ years of supervisory experience in a Mental Health Treatment Facility or equivalent training.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and spell in English without excessive grammatical errors.
- Ability to speak clearly and effectively with clients, employees, and business partners.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Ability to maintain a positive work ethic and congenial attitude in a high-pressure environment.

- Occasional lifting of moderately heavy office supplies (up to 25 lbs).
