Clinical Supervisor/ Assistant Program Director (LMSW/LCSW) Supportive Housing, Glenmore Manor

About the role

The Assistant Program Director supports the operation of a supportive housing residence for formerly homeless persons living with severe mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders, under the supervision of the Program Director.

Responsibilities

• Implement the ongoing operation of the supportive housing program.
• Provide regular structured supervisions to facilitate professional growth for social services staff.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on service delivery and expenditures.
• Develop and maintain a complete social service staffing schedule.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and evaluate staff alongside the Program Director.
• Ensure compliance with organizational confidentiality standards for records.
• Attend internal trainings, development conferences, and mandated trainings.
• Develop trainings and presentations for staff, including individualized training plans.
• Ensure program operations adhere to funding agency guidelines and regulations.
• Oversee the development and implementation of individualized service plans and monitor tenants' physical, emotional, and practical needs.
• Provide crisis intervention, assessment, and evaluate tenant needs.
• Link tenants with community resources, including medical, mental health, and support groups.
• Lead monthly tenant meetings and program events in conjunction with the Program Director.
• Oversee day-to-day functions of social services and case management staff.
• Collaborate with building management, HRA, and external agencies for tenant advocacy and service delivery.
• Conduct periodic internal file reviews and implement Quality Assurance measures.
• Organize onsite and offsite training opportunities for staff professional development.
• Collaborate with the Program Director on crisis prevention and intervention strategies.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, IRC meetings, internal and external audits.
• Ensure completion of required documentation, including DOHMH surveys, audits, and input into CAPS and TMS.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field (social work, mental health counseling, psychology, sociology, human services, etc.).
• Three to four years of supervisory experience working with mental health populations, substance abuse programs, inpatient/outpatient treatment, or homeless populations.
• LCSW or LMSW required.
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Proficient analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to make program decisions in the absence of the Program Director.
• Knowledge of database systems for recording and tracking tenant data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with a diverse community of residents, staff, and external vendors.
• Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented, outcomes-focused environment.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $90,000 per year.
