Clinical Supervisor - Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation

Budget/Financials

Assists in managing inventory limitations for supplies.

Communication

Provides regular communication to clinical staff and administrative staff by leading and/or participating in team meetings and team building activities.

Human Resources Management

• Collaborates with manager on personnel functions for assigned clinical department(s).
• In conjunction with department manager interviews and selects candidates for hiring, coordinates orientation for new staff, develops work plans, contributes to writing performance reviews and disciplinary actions using hospital and departmental personnel guidelines.

Outreach/Community Involvement

Participates on committees that are aligned with departmental goals and the health system's mission.

Patient Relations

• Addresses escalated patient care issues and patient complaints that cannot be resolved by frontline staff.
• Solves issues by troubleshooting, root cause analysis and follow-up.

Productivity

• Supervises daily workflow, tracking issues and making adjustments accordingly.
• Manages the day-to-day scheduling, triaging and tracking productivity.
• Provides patient care including patient evaluation, treatment planning, delegation of care to support staff, discharge planning and family education.

Quality

• Supports clinical program development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Leads continuous quality improvement efforts in conjunction with the department Manager.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited and applicable therapy program.

Licenses/Certifications Requirements

Licensed to provide care in a rehabilitation-related field in the state of North Carolina.

Professional Experience Requirements

Five (5) years of clinical experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements

Understands and applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise.
