Responsibilities

In addition to direct patient care, the Full Time Clinical Supervisor (RN) for Days with ICU, LTAC, or Post-Acute experience will:

  • Authorize and designate by the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to assume overall responsibility for clinical nursing practice.
  • Ensure continuity in decision making and consistency in nursing practice by assuring that nursing and hospital standards and objectives are met.
  • Act as a resource and support person for the nursing staff.
  • Represent administration during any event occurring their absence.
  • Embrace and demand a culture of professionalism and accountability.
  • Foster a positive milieu.
  • Keep CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk.
  • Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Requirements

Full Time Clinical Supervisor (RN) for Days with ICU, LTAC, or Post-Acute experience must meet the following requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of employment.
  • ICU, LTAC, Critical Care, or Post-Acute experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
