About the role
The Clinical Studies Coordinator II supports multiple research studies of various phases. They serve as the principal administrative liaison for assigned studies, managing a complex workload. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining recordkeeping systems, attending clinics, compiling and registering data, and communicating important protocol and data management issues.
Responsibilities
- Works under the direction of Study Investigators or Clinical Research Nurse Managers.
- Recruits patients for studies.
- Performs protocol-specific duties as outlined in the research protocol.
- Obtains or assists in obtaining informed consent from subjects and reinforces the information provided.
- Abstracts data from medical records and completes paper and electronic case report forms.
- Communicates important protocol and data management issues to supervisors.
- Provides staff relief as needed.
- Participates in team and department meetings.
- Engages in quality improvement projects.
- Mentors new and less experienced staff.
- Follows established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensures confidentiality and integrity in all actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with two years of experience in clinical research, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: SOCRA or ACRP Certification, CITI certification for Human Subject Research.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- EPIC/WakeOne proficiency.
- Proficiency in OnCore/WISER Clinical Trial Management System.
- Basic computer skills.
- Fosters/promotes a positive image and professional appearance.
- Sensitivity to intercultural relations and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products.
