Clinical Staff Pharmacist
About the role
As a full time, exempt Clinical Staff Pharmacist at St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center, you will work alongside a team of pharmacy professionals, technology experts, and industry leaders to drive superior financial, clinical, and operational performance for health systems nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracy
- Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patients
- Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding activities, ensuring compliance with USP and hospital standards
- Monitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug events
- Avoid supervision and support pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflow
- Aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy and updating them about daily activities
- Take part in hospital clinical activities including patient treatment teams, patient medication education groups, and medication monitoring
Requirements
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
- Current Missouri Pharmacist license in good standing
- 1+ years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program, psychiatric focus
- BCPP certification or working toward the exam upon hire

Pay
The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
Schedule
This position is scheduled to work Monday-Friday day shift with rotating on-call every 4 to 5 weeks for a one-week duration.
About the Facility
The St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center (FTC) is a state-funded 230-bed forensic inpatient treatment psychiatric facility operated by the Missouri Department of Mental Health's (DMH) Division of Behavioral Health (DBH). The facility provides an array of mental health services to a population primarily comprised of adults 18 years and older who have been committed to the Department of Mental Health by a criminal court under the mental health provisions of Chapter 552 of the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
