Clinical Specialty Representative - Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota Territory
About the role
Mayo Clinic Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Specialty Representative to join our team in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota territories. The position is remote and requires a 2-year commitment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for promoting Mayo Clinic's core values and supporting community-based health care and integrated delivery systems through the sale of Mayo Medical Laboratories (MCL) tests.
- Generate new business revenue and co-develop account and/or test selling and promotional strategies with clients.
- Collaborate with the CSR Director, Regional Directors of Sales, and Regional Managers to project annual sales growth, market dynamics, and economic conditions. Develop and implement business plans for territories/accounts.
- Sell and compel buying influences to move testing to Mayo and their clients by differentiating from competing interests. Coordinate resources, develop presentations, and participate in the bid process for new and upsell opportunities.
- Identify and pursue upsells to targeted clients, negotiate pricing, coordinate contract development and execution, and monitor accurate price lock-ins.
- Field-based sales position requiring occasional overnight travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and three years' experience in sales, preferably within the market segment being represented (e.g., Neurology).
- Excellent human relations, management, and communications skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, make decisions, and solve problems.
- Positive and courteous demeanor, especially during adversarial discussions.
- Knowledge of regulatory issues, reimbursement issues, and service requirements.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- FACHE certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and three years' experience in sales, preferably within the market segment being represented (e.g., Neurology).
- Master's degree in business, medical technology, or sciences preferred.
- Accountability, adaptability, flexibility, creativity, dependability, responsibility, and customer focus.
- Ability to function in a diverse work environment and provide direction to clients professionally.
- Ability to manage several projects or tasks simultaneously and exercise appropriate judgment when prioritizing projects.
- Knowledge of Mayo Clinic and MCS policies and procedures.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Mayo Clinic offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and pre-tax savings options. Compensation range is $155,600 - $192,416 annually.
