Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical and product education to Healthcare Professionals on the full portfolio of LivaNova Cardiopulmonary products, aligning with all approved instructions for use.
  • Coordinates and delivers clinical training programs, including hospital clinical and non-clinical demonstrations, in-person and virtual education programs, intra-operative case coverage, product evaluations, and ad hoc training.
  • Develops and maintains product knowledge excellence of the LivaNova CP portfolio.
  • Professionally integrates into accounts, building trust and strong rapport with customers.
  • Collaborates weekly with key internal stakeholders (Clinical Specialist team, Field/Technical Service, Account Executives) to increase team efficiency and customer engagement.
  • Maintains a positive, proactive, customer service manner during stressful situations.
  • Fosters high-trust relationships with customers and all LivaNova team members.
  • Takes a proactive approach to solving complex clinical, therapy, or technical problems and plans for seamless execution.
  • Assists Account Executives with urgent clinical needs and product information.
  • Adheres to all regulatory and LivaNova policies to ensure patient safety and company responsibility.
  • Develops in-depth knowledge of assigned accounts, including competitor activity.
  • Supports evaluations and sales strategies for capital equipment opportunities within accounts.
  • Provides feedback to providers on product directions for use and maintenance, both within and outside the operating room setting.
  • Attends trade shows, conferences, and congresses to maintain clinical expertise and support product discussions.
  • Meets all credentialing requirements to access accounts.
  • Provides sales support for clinical in-services, training, and guidance to current or potential customers.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Collaborates with regional and global marketing teams on projects, clinical discussions, program development, and product development.
  • Contributes to the development of education programs both internally and externally.
  • Supports training of the sales team for new hires, ongoing education, and product launches.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Perfusion education, current or history of Certified Clinical Perfusionist Certification or Licensure with a minimum of 5 years of clinical practice.
  • Ability and desire to teach, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Works well within teams, both cross-functionally and remotely.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Self-confidence and effectiveness in dealing with a wide variety of customer types.
  • Highly effective at working both independently and collaboratively.
  • High energy level and strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in computer skills for executing virtual programs and presentations (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams/Zoom).
  • Ability to understand scientific facts and package them into cohesive communication models for healthcare professionals.
  • Oral and written comprehension skills.
  • Ability to meet hospital credentialing requirements.
  • Availability to work weekends when needed.
  • Ability to travel domestically (up to 80%) and internationally, with availability for off-hours urgent issue resolution.
  • Blood Borne Pathogen Exposure.
  • Sit 80%, Stand/Walk 20%.
  • Repetitive computer use.
  • Lifts 0-50 lbs.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $145,000 - $160,000, plus a discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location.
