CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER (HEALTH FACILITY)
About the role
The Clinical Social Worker (CSW-H&S) provides social work services and professional consultation to the Statewide Clinical Services Division. The CSW-H&S is responsible for providing technical assistance for individual cases requiring a high level of support and clinical expertise and actively participates in interdisciplinary team planning and case reviews. The CSW-H&S supports the Autism Services Branch’s research program, acts as a subject matter expert, and provides consultation and recommendations related to autism, clinical and social services, and clinical best practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for individual cases requiring high-level support and clinical expertise.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team planning and case reviews.
- Support the Autism Services Branch’s research program.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide consultation and recommendations related to autism, clinical and social services, and clinical best practices.
Requirements
Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three percent in exchange for five hours per month of personal leave. The Department now offers an entrance salary rate of $51.21- $58.07 hourly for the Clinical Social Worker (Health Facility).

Skills
Knowledge of: Support and accommodations related to autism, other disabilities and the Lanterman Act; strong computer skills using applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe and virtual meeting products; excellent customer service and communication skills; and the aptitude for applying specific statutes, regulations, and policies.

Pay
The entrance salary rate for the Clinical Social Worker (Health Facility) is $51.21- $58.07 hourly.
Schedule
The position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbent can be required to report to the office, or any designated location at any time. Telework agreements can be modified and/or cancelled at any time. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
