Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and summarize case information for diagnosis, treatment (level of care), and dispositional release.
- Diagnose or collaborate in the formulation of a diagnosis.
- Develop, monitor, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Provide assessments, group therapy, and collateral conferences.
- Document and evaluate patients’ progress in treatment.
- Coordinate placement with community resources and the Classification and Parole Representative.
Pay
The authorized hiring-above-minimum (HAM) rate for this classification is P $8,678 – Q $9,319 per month. Effective July 1, 2025, salaries reflect a 3% base salary reduction under the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025), with employees receiving 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Part-time and permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same conditions on a prorated basis.
A recruitment and retention bonus is available for newly hired clinicians. Eligible individuals may receive a $10,000 one-time stipend after six months of employment and a monthly differential totaling $20,000 during their first year, contingent on meeting eligibility criteria.
CDCR and CCHCS employees may be eligible for a $5,000 referral bonus if the selected candidate remains employed for 90 days. A questionnaire must be completed during the pre-employment process to qualify.
