Responsibilities
- Assess families referred for suspected maltreatment and provide treatment for individuals, families, and groups meeting maltreatment criteria.
- Offer voluntary, comprehensive prevention services, primarily home-based, to prevent family maltreatment.
- Provide prevention counseling to at-risk individuals, families, or groups.
- Develop and implement secondary prevention programs and deliver community behavioral health and family violence education and training.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree from an accredited school in social work.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an active, unrestricted license.
- At least two years’ post-master’s clinical counseling experience with adults and children experiencing family violence.
- Experience facilitating group therapy.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and specialized family advocacy software.
- Ability to obtain privileges at military treatment facilities and maintain Basic Life Support certification.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and transportation.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
- Able to work in a standard office environment with potential local and out-of-area travel.
- Must obtain and uphold a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) security clearance.
