About The Position
California Correctional Health Care Services Clinical Social Worker Telehealth/Headquarters/Onsite
Annual Salary Ranges
- Licensed: $111,828 – $126,828
- Pre-Licensed: $104,136 – $117,888
- Licensed (in-person inpatient care): $126,348 – $145,848
- Pre-Licensed (in-person inpatient care): $117,636 – $135,576
Bonuses
- Recruitment and Retention Bonus: Clinical Social Workers newly hired with CDCR/CCHCS and providing in-person care at a facility 50% or more of their time will receive a 1% bonus for the first 7 years, increasing by 1% year over year, maxing at 7% by year 7.
- New State Hire Bonus: Clinical Social Workers newly hired with the State of CA are eligible for a recruitment and retention bonus of up to $30,000 within the first 12 months of service.
- Referral Bonus: All CDCR/CCHCS employees that refer a mental health clinician who is successfully hired may be eligible for a referral bonus of $5,000 per appointed referral.

Wide variety of geographic settings including the Northern California Coast, San Francisco Bay Area, California Capitol, and Southern California. Immediately hiring at:

- High Desert State Prison (Susanville/Reno)
- California Correctional Health Care Facility (Stockton)
- California State Prison, Sacramento (Represa)
- Substance Abuse Treatment Facility (Corcoran)
- California Correctional Institution (Tehachapi)
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and summarize case information to use in diagnosis, treatment, and dispositional release
- Diagnose and/or collaborate in the formulation of a diagnosis
- Develop, monitor, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Provide assessments, group therapy, and collateral conferences
- Document and evaluate patients' progress in treatment
- Coordinate placement with community resources for patients returning to their communities
Minimum Qualifications
- California licensure (pre-licensed CSWs may be appointed, but will be required to obtain licensure)
- Master's degree from an accredited school of social work, approved by the Council on Social Work Education
