Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to community clinics, providers, and community-based organizations to increase awareness of program services and research opportunities.
  • Deliver presentations and educational talks to community stakeholders regarding early psychosis, related clinical resources, and research opportunities.
  • Manage phone line and email communications from patients, families, community clinicians, and referral sources seeking information about the program.
  • Respond to inquiries in a professional, timely, and accurate manner and facilitate appropriate follow-up, referrals, and linkage to clinical or research resources.
  • Support participant recruitment, prescreening, tracking, and related study coordination activities for clinical research protocols.
  • Cookordination closely with clinical and research personnel to ensure clear communication and appropriate follow-up with prospective participants and families.
  • Documenting and maintaining patient clinical records and research records in accordance with clinic and study protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of outreach, recruitment, and intake activities.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited school of social work or related field and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position or equivalent combination of training/experience.
  • Possession of the requirements necessary for application for licensure as a clinical social worker as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
  • Excellent documentation and clinical skills, ability to set priorities, work independently, excellent follow-up, work well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Able to work with and navigate various community partners, including community clinics, providers, and community-based organizations to increase awareness of program services and research opportunities.
  • Familiarity with standard research methodology and prior interviewing experience to ensure both sensitivity and quality data collection.
  • Excellent assessment skills; familiarity and ability to perform standardized assessments for psychosis and psychosis risk.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with patients, clinic staff, and research staff.
