Clinical Social Services Director

Responsibilities
- Handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
- Serve as a member of the Social Service Division Management Team and Shawnee Management Committee.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Division to represent Social Services Programs and staff in development, planning, training, and communication.
- Provide ongoing hiring, training, and supervision of assigned staff, including reviewing work, monitoring schedules, productivity, and report development and management.
- Contribute to performance evaluations for team members as appropriate.
- Provide input into the development and revision of job descriptions as needed.
- Develop, plan, and oversee the management of program growth and sustainability, including new program development, proposal writing, and budget oversight.
- Implement program enhancements and recommend procedural changes to improve service delivery.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to improve efficiency, workflow, and productivity.
- Serve on process improvement work groups.
- Assist in the development and writing of Policies and Procedures, along with best practice protocols for assigned programs.
- Work with the team on staff training, including developing and maintaining training materials and coordinating across programs and clinic services.
- Supervise benchmark activity for assigned programs and staff, and ensure quality improvement goals are met.
- Prepare statistical reports as requested.
- Complete grant and licensure renewal application materials and required reports for assigned programs.
- Conduct public education, presentations, and training sessions for the community at large upon request.
- Represent Shawnee on coalitions, advisory groups, steering committees, and other local organized groups as assigned.
- Represent the agency in patient staffing and special circumstances involving complex cases requiring administrative decisions.
- Maintain clinical licensure and may accept counseling patients as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or other related human service field.
- Licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Psychologist.
- 3-5 years of counseling experience.
- 3-5 years of program development, management, and supervision experience.
Skills
- Competency in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in addition to strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Sensitivity to and awareness of the special life conditions of patients.
- Networking skills and ability to work with staff at other agencies.
- Skilled in mediation/negotiation and knowledgeable about group and family dynamics.
- Ability to maintain client and employee confidentiality.
- Capable of high-level discretion in handling confidential information.
- Capable of independent, discretionary problem-solving with minimal supervision.
- Ensures HIPAA regulations are followed.
- Training in a recognized performance improvement model.
- Preferred: Familiarity with community and government health and social services.
- Preferred: Bilingual.

Pay
Starting salary: $78,320 - $117,480.
