Clinical Services Specialist IN-PERSON JOB FAIR

About the role

CN Guidance and Counseling Services is seeking a Licensed Clinician to provide evaluations, mental health assessments, and crisis therapy for students grades K-12. The role also involves ensuring linkage to community treatment and coordinating with families and district staff.

Responsibilities

• Spend 50% of time with students/school staff and 50% with families/community providers
• Gather information for diagnostic assessments and referrals
• Help students/families identify and connect with community service providers
• Implement crisis services as needed
• Collaborate with school mental health staff on student progress
• Facilitate data sharing and client communication
• Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives
• Cultivate a culture of inclusion and adhere to safety protocols

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
• New York State licensure
• Two years of post-graduate clinical work in relevant settings
• Experience with children and families, school systems, and community providers

Qualifications

• Knowledge of community resources relevant to youth and families
• Ability to educate and inform students and families about mental health and addiction
• SBIRT training and experience providing brief intervention screening and therapy
• Experience with structured community-wide presentations
• Ability to maintain quality assurance standards and prepare reports
• Health and safety awareness
