Clinical Risk Manager

The Clinical Risk Manager is responsible for reviewing, investigating, and prioritizing clinical and organizational events to enhance patient safety and reduce liability. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and leadership to identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and promote a culture of safety through evidence-based practices. Key duties include analyzing incident data, managing claims and liability issues, conducting risk assessments, and providing education on patient safety and legal considerations. The role involves coordinating communication regarding adverse outcomes, supporting compliance efforts, and participating in peer review processes. The position requires a bachelor's degree in health administration or nursing , 5+ years of clinical experience , and 2+ years in patient safety or risk management, preferably with clinical leadership experience Strong communication, analytical, conflict resolution, and educational skills are essential, along with proficiency in Epic and RL Solutions. A Registered Nurse license in Illinois is preferred. The role includes on-call responsibilities and travel to various locations to support hospital safety initiatives.
