About the role
The Clinical Risk Coordinator supports incident reporting and management, incident investigation, mortality screening, and quality improvement work related to responding to known clinical risks. This role is part of the Clinical Governance Unit at Alfred Care Group, located at The Alfred Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Supports incident reporting and management
- Conducts incident investigations and analyses
- Maintains and updates databases for incident tracking
- Collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to improve patient safety and quality of care
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Knowledge of clinical risk and quality improvement principles and practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people
- Strong analytical skills to undertake incident investigation and analysis
- Well-developed report writing skills
Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in healthcare administration, risk management, or a related field
- Experience in incident management and quality improvement
- Understanding of clinical governance and risk management frameworks
Skills
- Proficient in database management
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Salary is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This is a permanent part-time position, working 48 hours per fortnight.
