Clinical Resident
About the role
The Clinician Resident at Hanger, Inc. is a key member of the rehabilitation team, responsible for providing comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care under supervision. This role focuses on assessing patients, formulating and implementing treatment plans, and ensuring patient satisfaction through high-quality care and innovative technology.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians in evaluating and recommending prosthetic or orthotic services based on patient needs.
- Evaluate and formulate design of prostheses/orthoses based on patient needs and medical conditions.
- Select appropriate materials and componentry, take measurements, and perform fittings to ensure proper fit and function.
- Instruct patients on the proper use of prosthetic/orthotic devices and address any issues or concerns.
- Provide follow-up care and maintain detailed clinical notes in patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and utilize the latest technology to enhance patient outcomes.
- Adhere to safety regulations, regulatory standards, and patient confidentiality protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or post-graduate Certificate in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics from a CAAHEP accredited college or university.
- Valid driver's license and driving record meeting Hanger's standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, standing, reaching, and walking.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficient in Windows-based office technologies and email.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and post-graduate Certificate in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics from a CAAHEP accredited college or university.
Skills
Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.85 per hour, plus bonuses and benefits. Salary ranges may vary based on location and other factors.
