About the role
The RESTORE Lab at the University of Houston is seeking an energetic and motivated Clinical Science Researcher to support the coordination and implementation of clinical research focused on health disparities, chronic disease, addiction, and behavioral health.
Responsibilities
- Provides expertise in support of physical or mental health research projects.
- Works out of a clinic or other health care facility and may travel to homes, schools or residential facilities to collect data.
- Performs advanced testing procedures, data collection, and analysis.
- Works directly with human subjects.
- Ensures experiments are performed according to specifications.
- Makes recommendations to changes in procedure, processes, or experimental design.
- Prepares and/or edits research papers, grant proposals and reports.
Requirements
- Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and collaborative research environment.
- Experience Will Be Considered In Lieu Of Education.

This position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including leading participant recruitment and community outreach efforts, coordinating study activities and data collection across multiple ongoing projects, supervising and mentoring undergraduate research assistants, and supporting the successful execution of grant-funded studies in collaboration with investigators, research staff, and community partners.
