Clinical Research Technician I, Early Phase Clinical Research - Daytona Beach, FL

Experience Required

Experience in the following areas required: Phlebotomy, taking vital signs, and extreme attention to detail.

About the Role

This is a full-time, office-based position in Daytona Beach, FL. You will work with some of the world's leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies in a vital stage of clinical development: establishing the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of a new drug.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands on practical/administrative activities of clinical trials in Clinical Pharmacology in line with protocol and regulatory requirements.
• Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and Temperature readings.
• Phlebotomy skills.
• Preparation and accurate recording of ECGs/Holter’s.
• Collection and processing of biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensures the proper distribution of those samples.
• Maintains meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants.
• Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment.
• Assist with screening procedures as needed.
• Undertake any other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/AED Certification is required for the position.
• Previous clinical experience is ideal, but not a must.
• Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools or controls, including a computer keyboard, for up to 6 hours per day.
• Must be able to stand and/or bend for up to 6 hours per day.
• Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.
• Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment.
• Frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
• Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
• Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
