Position: Clinical, Microbiome & Translational Research ScientistType: ContractCompensation: $45 - $90/hourLocation: RemoteCommitment: 10-40 hrs/week Role ResponsibilitiesDesign and write challenging scientific problems in microbiome/metagenomics and related life sciences with verifiable solutions.Review and evaluate AI model outputs for scientific accuracy and depth of reasoning.Develop detailed rubrics and reference answers grounded in primary literature.Apply domain expertise in areas such as metagenomics, biomarker discovery, and precision medicine.Provide clear written explanations of reasoning for validation by other experts.Meet quality standards through iterative feedback and peer review. RequirementsPhD in Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, Epidemiology, or a related field.Hands-on research experience in an academic or industry lab.Professional written and spoken English proficiency (C1 or higher).Experience with microbiome tools like QIIME2, Kraken2, and MetaPhlAn.Programming skills in Python and/or R, and familiarity with workflow tools.
