About the role
The Clinical Research Nurse B position is part of the Cardiovascular Division at PPMC. This role involves coordinating clinical research activities, adhering to Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and managing various aspects of clinical trials.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the implementation of clinical research activities using approved protocols.
- Familiarize oneself with all components of study protocols before starting.
- Attend Investigators' Meetings.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of Delegation of Duties and Authorized Signatures Form.
- Collaborate with the pharmacist to ensure the availability of study drugs.
- Create and maintain research data and regulatory files.
- Schedule and conduct follow-up visits with patients.
- Create and maintain a complete and accurate regulatory binder for each study.
- Prepare and process all regulatory documentation with research sponsors and CROs.
- Perform phlebotomy to collect blood samples and centrifuge blood specimens.
- Ship blood and urine specimens to study-specific central labs according to regulations.
- Complete source documents and worksheets within 48 hours of study activity.
- Enter clinical record forms (CRFs) within 5 working days or less.
- Create and maintain subject binders.
- Provide in-service training and education to PPMC inpatient/cath lab cardiology nurses and patient care staff.
- Support subjects and their families with education and support.
- Monitor adherence to protocol and notify relevant parties of any deviations or adverse events.
- Resolve regulatory-related queries with IRB and study sponsors.
- Prepare source document worksheets and create study spreadsheets.
- Manage adverse event reporting and ensure timely notifications to subjects.
- Assist with the preparation of research bills and invoices.
- Ensure all study drugs/devices/equipment are maintained securely.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay
$53,418.00 - $73,825.00 Annual Rate
