Job Summary

A clinical research nurse focuses on ensuring both patient safety and adherence to study protocols. They play a central role in protecting patient welfare during experimental treatments and ensuring scientific integrity of trials through strict protocol adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments, create care plans, provide direct IV therapy (medications, fluids, blood), manage vascular access devices (PICCs, central lines), and monitor vital signs and patient response.
  • Educate participants about their treatment, IV care, potential side effects, and study requirements.
  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators (PIs), study coordinators, pharmacists, and other staff; provide training to peers on new protocols.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely source documentation in electronic medical records for data integrity.
  • Monitor for infusion-related complications and adverse events, report findings, and maintain a safe, compliant environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or University and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia with a minimum of three years of clinical experience in a specialized area; current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS/BCS.
  • OR Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia with a minimum of six years of clinical experience in a specialized area; current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS/BCS.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Detail-oriented.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

  • Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position).
  • Pay Band: B13
  • Salary Range: $68,500/annually - $87,300/annually
  • Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
  • Recruitment Period: 3/19/26 - Until Filled
