Clinical Research Fellow in Primary Care Infection
What will you be doing?
- Developing proposals to secure research funding
- Conducting high-quality primary care research
- Publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals and presenting research at relevant conferences
- Establishing new national and international collaborations
- Completing a PhD (if applicable)
- Developing leadership skills
The role is open to practising GPs in the UK who are registered with the GMC. Applicants must have excellent knowledge of infection and experience in conducting and publishing high-quality research in primary care. They should also have contributed to research proposal development and/or delivery of successful funding bids, and be able to manage their workload and deliver projects on time. Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as experience in teaching and an enthusiasm for teaching, are required.
This is an open-ended position with funding until 31/05/2027, starting ideally on 01/10/2026. The work pattern is part-time/0.8 FTE, with Tuesdays being office-based days. The salary range is £85,732 - £111,133 per annum pro rata. The position is located within the Bristol Medical School.
