Clinical Research Fellow in Health Data Research

This is an exciting opportunity

• Support the delivery of the LifeArc-Kidney Research UK Centre for Rare Kidney Disease data workstream
• Establish themselves as an independent researcher
• Develop research ideas and undertake analyses using data from the UK Renal Registry and/or the National Registry of Rare Kidney Diseases (RaDaR)
• Present research findings at local, national and/or international meetings
• Prepare reports and communicate findings to stakeholders and lay audiences
• Prepare and submit manuscripts for publication
• Work with the UK Renal Registry team to address clinical queries
• Support the collection and optimisation of routinely collected kidney data
• Identify priority areas for research
• Contribute to dataset specification development
• Peer-review data applications to use UKRR and RaDaR data

The successful candidate will be capable, hard-working, motivated, able to take responsibility and work on their own initiative as well as within a team. Experience of designing and carrying out research is desirable. They will be GMC registered with a current licence to practice, with at least two years (ST/CT1-5) postgraduate medical training. They may or may not currently be enrolled in a formal postgraduate training programme. They will be able to manage their own workload and deliver projects on time. They will have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas to a range of audiences.
