Clinical Research Coordinator II - Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine
About the role
This is an opportunity to join a well-established, collaborative clinical research team in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, working closely with James Krings, MD, MSc, Kaharu (Cajal) Sumino, MD, MPH, and Tammy Quinones, RN. The role supports a diverse portfolio of NIH-, PCORI-, and industry-sponsored clinical studies in asthma and related conditions. The position offers meaningful day-to-day patient interaction, including screening, enrollment, informed consent, and longitudinal follow-up of participants. Additional responsibilities include coordinating study activities, maintaining regulatory documentation, supporting IRB submissions, and ensuring protocol adherence.
Responsibilities
- Aids in the development of research project plans and discussions of results interpretations.
- Collaborates in manuscript preparation for publications and grant proposal preparation for sponsoring agencies.
- Aids in the preparation of protocol amendments and modifications as necessary.
- Evaluates and interprets collected clinical data as appropriate; prepares oral or written presentations or reports and analyses setting forth progress trends and provides recommendations or conclusions of the same.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with record-keeping systems such as RedCap, IRB/protocol management issues, and participant recruitment is preferred.
