About the Role

The Markey Cancer Center Clinical Research Organization is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II. This position has a fully on-site work arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain, abstract, and collate data, reports, and other study-related documents.
  • Maintain and submit all required reports, forms, and updated records to study groups.
  • Assist in designing systems for organizing, planning, and controlling workflow related to clinical studies and protocols.
  • Coordinate patient flow through clinical studies or protocols, monitoring all events and communicating pertinent information to the Principal Investigator (PI) and appropriate health professionals.
  • Learn basics of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Monitor safety and general well-being of patients by exercising independent clinical judgment regarding patient care issues and protocol adherence.
  • Assist investigators with identification and recruitment of patients.
  • Ensure per-study and eligibility requirements of the protocol are met for patients.
  • Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with all clinical research participants.
  • Collaborate and consult with other health professionals in planning care for study participation and ensuring protocol compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education/experience as defined here).
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • No required license, registration, or certification.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in operating office machines, including computers, printers, and software packages.
  • Robust interpersonal skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Initiative, collaboration, and advanced time management skills.
  • Technical skills applicable to essential functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical research certification (e.g., CCRC, CCRA, CCRP).

Pay

$25.51–42.08/hour.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (40 hours/week).

Physical Requirements
